Overview of Responsibilities:

·         Works as part of a team using written specifications and pre-established guidelines to develop and implement software/firmware in new instrumentation or modify existing products.

·         Design, code and test applications in support and control of measurement equipment.

·         Create technical specifications, flow charts and test plans for new and existing applications

·         Debug and correct new and existing software issues

Job Qualifications

Qualifications:

$1·         Bachelor Degree in Computer Science and 3-5 years of experience

$1·         Proven ability to work and consult with colleagues as part of the team

$1·         Demonstrated ability to consult and communicate closely with management/supervisor of the company as well as working with marketing to understand customer needs.

$1·         Knowledge of software developing tools guidelines and conventions including but not limited to C++, C#, VB6, VB.NET, Python

$1·         Knowledge of programming algorithms and practices when dealing with real time events (measurements)

·         Experience coding and testing applications for 8 and 16 bits microcontrollers.

·         Experience with PIC controllers is an asset.

·         Experience coding and testing applications for embedded controllers based on Windows CE, XP and Win7 Embedded.

·         Experience with other systems like Linux and Android is an asset.

·         Knowledge of IEEE 488.2 protocol and SCPI standard

·         Knowledge of interfaces and protocols used in instrumentation and data acquisition like RS232, SPI, I2C, LAN, GPIB.
