Job Description

One of In-TAC’s Employer Partners is looking for a skilled front end web developer to join their Software Development Team.  If you are passionate about web technologies and love to push the boundaries of what is possible, then this is the place for you.  You will be working as part of a team within a fast-paced, fun, challenging and creative environment to achieve team-oriented goals. 

Key Responsibilities:

§  Working in collaboration with the UX developer and the software development team designs relevant UI enhancement and implements web design changes to enhance the experience of our users

§  Keep updated on popular UX trends

§  Work on both user-facing and non-user facing portions of the software

§  Take existing designs and create functional industry and proprietary standards-compliant and responsive web applications

§  Working closely with the software development team, implements comprehensive user experiences

§  Work closely with UX developer to identify and solve usability and work flow obstacles

§  Designs and implement simple and visually appealing interfaces

§  Create cross platforms UX designs through wireframe and prototyping

§  Other duties as required

Job Qualifications

 Individual Expertise:

  • Degree/Diploma in Computer Science/Engineering or related field

§  4+ years of solid professional experience

§  In depth understanding of current web technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, & JavaScript

§  Knowledge of C#, ASP.NET, Razor, .NET MVC an asset

§  Proficiency in Photoshop and illustrator an asset

§  Designs with WCAG compliance in mind

§  Passionate about Web Standards, semantic HTML, and CSS best practices

§  Proficient in JavaScript and popular libraries such as jQuery and AngularJS

§  Working knowledge of JavaScript toolchain such as Grunt, Gulp, Yeoman & Require JS

§  Knowledge of version control systems such as Git & subversion

§  Knowledge of SASS or similar CSS preprocessor



  Other desired skills:

  • Self-directed professional capable of working effectively in a highly dynamic environment
  • Previous experience working with a formal QA process within an Agile development environment
  • Flexible and adaptable to quick changes and shifting priorities
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines with minimal supervision
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
