Job Description

Today we are looking for top talent to fill Software Developer roles on our team in Ottawa, Ontario.  In this role you will have the opportunity to define and develop applications and middleware that allow our customers to fully exploit the features and capabilities of our industry-leading software-defined radio products.  The successful incumbents will work collaboratively with the software team, customer support staff and customers to ensure that users and integrators of our products have access to their full capabilities. This will include:

  • defining requirements for product APIs, applications and services;
  • tracking industry standards in programmable test equipment, high-speed data acquisition, the internet of things and web applications;
  • developing software to support our products on all major desktop operating system platforms;
  • developing software to enable our products to work with the Internet of Things
Job Qualifications


  • Development of applications shared libraries and other middleware for Microsoft Windows
  • Programming in C, C#, C++, and Python
  • Experience interfacing to test equipment and other embedded systems over TCP/IP, USB and other industry-standard interfaces
  • Experience in high-speed data acquisition
  • Ability to deliver well-designed, verified, documented and defect-free software that meets all its requirements
  • Assets

    • Experience with web, mobile and IoT applications using: HTML, CSS and Javascript; frameworks such as Node.js and Meteor; MongoDB and DDP
    • Experience with Software-Defined Radios
    • Experience with protocols for control and data acquisition for test and measurement equipment, such as HiSLIP, SCPI and VITA-49 Radio Transport protocol
    • Development of cloud-based applications and services, including Internet of Things
    • Experience with software verification
    • Linux application development
    • Mobile application development
