Job Description

The Contract Administrator, under the direction of the Construction Manager, is responsible for the following, without being limited thereto.


• Manage construction-related calls for tender and construction contracts

• Negotiate contract terms with internal and external business partners

• Analyze potential risks involved with specific contract terms

• Prepare recommendations for the construction contract award

• Prepare and obtain approval for amendments to the construction contract following approval of the ACTs and DCHs

• Review and update existing contracts

• Ensure all deadlines and conditions described on contracts are met (payment, shipping)

• Analyze and authorize the Contractor’s payment request

• Maintain an organized system of physical and digital records

• Check, with the aide to the Construction Supervisor, the extent of changes made to the plans and specifications between the issuance for tender and the issuance for construction to prepare for all amendments to the contract

• Attend the coordination meetings with Contractors at the request of the Project Manager


Job Qualifications


• BSc degree in Business Administration, additional qualifications in law or any relevant degrees are a plus

• 10 years’ experience

• Proven work experience as a contract administrator, contract manager or relevant role

• Knowledge of legal requirements involved with contracts

• Familiarity with accounting procedures

• Excellent writing skills

• Keen attention to detail, with an ability to spot errors

• Strong analytical and organizational skills
