Job Description

Our partner company is looking to add an experienced E-Commerce Website Developer to its team.

The Web Developer supports client objectives and conforms to the client’s operating practices.  Completes all specific tasks associated with developing practical and workable solutions to clients’ technical and business problems, complies with all time reporting processes and procedures and ensures all deadlines are met.  Completes specific tasks associated with the implementation of software solutions and reporting processes, procedures, and reports all time and expense information in a timely manner.

 

As an E-Commerce Website Developer, you are expected to stay current with new and emerging technologies and an understanding of when and how they can be applied to projects.  You will be expected to assist in documenting trusted best practices.

Typically, you will be required to:

  • Communicate by speaking clearly and confidently with clients during meetings and presentations, with employees during data gathering and with other people involved in a project.   
  • Establish rapport and build relationships internally and externally.  
  • Brainstorm possible options and build case studies and various scenarios when making a decision based on analysis. 
  • Design the deployment architecture for web-based applications. 
  • Create detailed technical specifications and resolve programming problems. 
  • Create test scenarios and perform unit testing of programming changes.
  • Undertake web site and application development with Microsoft technologies.
  • Maintain a solid understanding of technical environments for web applications keeping abreast of new functions and changes that may impact the implementation of client projects. 
  • Provide time estimates for various aspects of development.
  • Prepare and/or maintain a variety of technical and user documentation.
  • Adapt quickly to different client and project environments with a large degree of ambiguity and change. 
  • Manage expectations of the client. The key is to be explicit and straightforward when communicating expectations.  Active listening skills are very important.  
Job Qualifications

To meet your Challenge, you will have:

  • 3-5 years’ experience working in a professional consulting company; 
  • Extensive knowledge in Linux and Windows operating systems; 
  • At least 3 years’ experience working with software development applications including: Eclipse, PostGreSql, JSON, maven, 
  • Experience using Programming languages such as: Java, JavaScript, MSSQL, Oracle SQL, Perl and mobile development. 
  • Implementation experience using Oracle Commerce Experience Manager; 
  • Proven technical leadership; 
  • Good oral and written communication skills. 
  • At least 3 years Project experience in the following: Java, Java Script, Knockout, require, crossroads, i18next, bootstrap, LESS, jquery
  • Implementation experience using Oracle Commerce Experience Manager
  • Ability to travel to client sites.
  • Ability to travel to other offices internationally.

It would be Great if you also have:

  • Understanding of Adobe Photoshop, SQL
  • Experience with source control systems (SVN)
