Job Description

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

•           Assemble complex electrical mechanical products as per the assembly procedures.

•           Operate RF and Electrical test equipment to ensure product meets specifications.

•           Troubleshoot problems with test equipment & develop/document troubleshooting procedures.

•           Read and understand electrical schematics.

•           Setup and operate production equipment in accordance with modern manufacturing practices.

•           Troubleshoot non-compliant assemblies and products.

•           Work with various stakeholders to improve the assembly and test of products.

•           Work with Engineering to build and develop new products.

Required Skills & Knowledge:

•           A Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Technologies or a related technical field.

•           10+ years in the Avionics/Electronics Industry.

•           5+ years of working with RF and mechanical products.

•           The successful candidate must be able to work in Canada and to obtain CGP (Controlled Goods Program) clearance and be eligible for access to ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations) controlled data/hardware.

•           Occasional international travel is anticipated; therefore, candidates will need to provide proof that they may travel nationally or internationally with no travel or visa restrictions.

Job Qualifications

Additional Qualifications:

•           Highly motivated, goal and results oriented with bias for action and disciplined execution.

•           Knowledge of SATCOM products and testing procedures.

•           Extensive knowledge of RF and Electrical Test Equipment.

•           Knowledge of software languages, i.e. LabVIEW, Python, VB, C.

•           Knowledge of RF & antenna design, especially in the X, Ku and Ka-bands.

•           Understanding of FAR 21 (OEM-Factory) and FAR 145 (Repair Station).

•           Understanding and compliance to export regulation and ITAR information.

•           Knowledge of Digital and Analog component systems.

•           Knowledge of FAA regulations & processes on avionics and related software.

•           Experience with network protocols – specifically TCP/IP, SNMP, TFTP, ISDN, NAT/PAT, Cisco IOS.

•           Experience in various interfaces – ARINC, RS-232, RS-422, USB, Ethernet

•           Experience with Linux
