Job Description

One of In-TAC’s employer partners is looking for a skilled tester to join their Software Development Team.  If you are passionate about web technologies and love to push the boundaries of what is possible, then this job is for you! You will be working as part of a team within a fast-paced, fun, challenging and creative environment to achieve team-oriented goals. This employer has a comfortable working environment in the downtown Ottawa area.

Key Responsibilities:

$·         Creating, maintaining and executing test plans and test cases

$·         Designing and preparing all needed test data

$·         Working closely with the development team in an Agile environment

$·         Participate in sprint planning and creating time estimates for assigned testing tasks

$·         Reporting and monitoring problems found in the software using VSTS

$·         Record and maintain automated/manual tests and test runs using HP ALM

$·         Follow best practices and procedures within a mixed manual and automated testing environment

$·         Use TestComplete to develop automation test scripts, keywords, reusable actions and library functions

1·         Review and develop automated test scripts for various mobile devices

$·         Other duties as needed

Job Qualifications

Qualifications:

$·         Degree in computer engineering, sciences or equivalent

$·         2 to 3 years’ experience in software testing

$·         Familiarity with QA process and QA methodologies

$·         Experience with test automation of data driven web applications

$·         Experience testing/validating software components and system integration points

$·         Experience writing detailed defect reports and test cases for functional testing

$·         Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral) primarily in English

$·         Knowledge of various OS versions including Windows 10, 8, 7 and Mac OS X
