Job Description

Your job:

  • Preparing and reviewing financial statements and files for notice to reader and assurance clients;
  • Preparation and quality assurance for corporate and personal income tax returns generated by the firm;
  • Preparation of HST returns for clients as necessary;
  • Research and interpret tax regulations and relevant tax laws/issues;
  • Responsible for keeping tax-related documents and knowledge current;
  • Interacting with existing clients on tax matters, while developing new contacts;
  • Being a very active member of the tax team during busy season
Job Qualifications

Key Competencies:

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills;
  • Strong project management and organizational skills;
  • Ability to establish and maintain strong client relations;
  • Analytical and pays close attention to detail;
  • Experience in working/dealing with Canada Revenue Agency (CRA); and

Working Conditions:

  • Fast-paced work environment with rapidly changing priorities and deadlines; and
  • Overtime as required.



  • CPA designation or enrolment in the CPA program


  • Minimum of three years’ work experience with some experience in income tax return preparation (public accounting experience is a definite asset);
